On behalf of the Episcopal Church, I would like to extend a warm welcome to you.The Episcopal Church is a Christian denomination that traces its roots back to the Church of England. Our worship services are centered around the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, also sometimes known as Holy Communion or the Mass. Our worship consists as well of readings from Holy Scripture and an affirmation of our faith as outlined in the Apostles’ and Nicene Creeds.
Our church is guided by a set of beliefs and practices as outlined in the Book of Common Prayer, which provides a framework for our worship, prayer, and spiritual growth. We strive to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all sorts and conditions of people. Many find their spiritual home in the Episcopal Church having been raised in other denominations, or no denomination. All are welcome!
Grace Church has been worshipping and serving this community since 1827. We have deep roots and a remarkably rich history. We are one of 48 worshipping congregations which comprise the Episcopal Diocese of Louisiana and are led by our bishop, The Rt. Rev. Shannon Rogers Duckworth.
We try to encourage active involvement and participation in worship, fellowship, and service. We invite you to join with us as we seek to glorify God, grow in our faith, and make Christ known.Once again, welcome to the Episcopal Church!
